The Oxford Free Public Library offers free Notary services to the Oxford community. A Notary Public is an individual, appointed by state government, to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. The Notary cannot provide legal counsel, is not bilingual and will only notarize documents in English.
The Notary will expect your document to be unsigned. She will need to be able to identify you through valid photo identification, that is not expired and may include:
- State ID or Driver’s License
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Military Card
