Notary Public Service

The Oxford Free Public Library offers free Notary services to the Oxford community.

A Notary Public is an individual, appointed by state government, to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents.

If you require such services, contact the library to confirm that the Notary Public will be available when you visit the library.  Please email csullivan@oxfordma.us or call 508-987-6003 x 1401.

The Notary will expect your document to be unsigned.  She will need to be able to identify you through satisfactory evidence of identity. This proper photo ID must not be expired and may include:

  • State ID or Driver’s License
  • U.S. Passport
  • U.S. Military Card

The Notary cannot provide legal counsel. The Notary is not bilingual and will only notarize documents in English.
