Clara Barton was born on Christmas Day, 1821, in Oxford, Massachusetts.
The Library holds a small collection of Clara Barton memorabilia and sources, however the Clara Barton Birthplace and Museum is one’s best option on doing more research on Ms. Barton. The non-circulating collection of Clara Barton books is located in our Local History room in the front part of the building. The room is open to the public.
