Title: Soaring Over the Last Green Valley: The Return of the Bald Eagles
Contact: ,
Location: Meeting Room
Description: With abundant rivers, lakes, and ponds, The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor is the perfect habitat for bald eagles — our national symbol. Over the past decade eagles have been returning to the region and nesting along our rivers and lakes. This program tells the history of bald eagles  in the country and describes the unique characteristics of these amazing birds. Information will be provided on The Last Green Valley's role assisting the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to monitor bald eagle nests and statewide midwinter eagle survey.
