|Title:||History of the Quabbin Reservoir with J.R. Greene|
|Description:||J.R. Greene, a lifelong resident of Athol, has authored sixteen books about the Quabbin Reservoir and the towns destroyed to create it. Greene is the chairman of the board of directors of the Friends of Quabbin, and the Quabbin - Ware River watersheds representative on the Metropolitan Water Resources Advisory Board.
The 70 minute long narrated slide program begins with a brief history of how Metro Boston's water supply system expanded across the state from the Lake Cochituate through Wachusett Reservoir to the construction of the Quabbin Reservoir. The bulk of the program shows what the villages in the doomed valley looked like, and what life in them was like.
