THE RETURN OF WEDNESDAY NIGHT BOOK GROUP!

Beginning Wednesday, March 7th at 6:30 pm the Oxford Library will again play host to the monthly book group. The group meets the first Wednesday evening of every month, except for the months of January and February. The first book pick of the year is Moloka’i by Alan Brennert. There are copies available at the main desk of the library. All are welcome!

Did you get a new Ereader, over the holidays? Did you know that you can get books from the library for Ereaders? All you need is your library card, home computer, and Ereader or audio device!

Simply go to our Digital Catalog to get started. If you are not sure if your device is compatible just look check out this same page.

* You will need an active library card in order to use the digital catalog.

A NEW LIBRARY CATALOG FOR A NEW YEAR!

We thank our patrons for their patience, but the switch to a new catalog has been pushed back to mid-February, this delay gives us a chance to work out some of the bugs in the system.

There will be many new features in the brand new catalog, such as there only being ONE CATALOG that connects the Central and Western areas of the state. You will also be able to create and share Lists of books!

Just a few things to remember. . .

There will be no access to the Library Catalog from December 3, 2011 through January 3, 2012. That means your Patron Account as well. Also, your reading history and wishlists will no longer be available, so print out these lists or save them to your computer. Most important, your password for your Patron Account will change to the last four digits of your barcode when the library comes back online. You will be asked to change your password on first login.

Computer access for the visually impaired

The Oxford Library hosts a computer for the visually impaired. It is enabled with both Jaws and Zoom Text software, provided by the Oxford Lions Club. Come check it out!
